Panch Kedar Yatra is very famous among the devotees of Lord Shiva, before explaining more about it, let’s try to define Panch Kedar first, Panch means 5 (Five), Kedar is a name of Lord Shiva.
So as the name suggests, it’s all about Lord Shiva and visiting his places (temples). Basically, we are talking about the largest pilgrimage trek of India which is Panch Kedar Trek. While trekking we will be visiting 5 different temples of Lord Shiva at 5 different destinations.
Why Panch Kedar Yatra?
First, let me explain a bit more about Panch Kedar Yatra. If we talk about Panch Kedar’s history then according to Hindu Legend Panch Kedar belongs to the Pandavas of Mahabharat. As per mythology, the Panch Kedar Temples have been built by the Pandavas, the heroes of the famous Hindu epic Mahabharat.

Kedarnath Dham is one of the very famous Yatras of Uttarakhand which is known as Chardham Yatra. It is dedicated to Hindu Lord Shiva. The location of Kedarnath Dham is in Garhwal Himalayan range near the Mandakini river in Kedarnath, Uttarakhand. It is going to be your first destination to reach.
Rudranath is known as toughest to reach among all five temple of Panch Kedar Yatra. It comes at 3rd place of your Yatra to Panch Kedar. There are numerous sacred water tanks near the temple.

Arrival Delhi Railway Station / Airport, and drive towards Haridwar. On Haridwar, you will be transferred to Hotel. In the evening enjoy the divine Ganga aarti, and after that overnight stay at the hotel.
Day: 2 - Haridwar – Rudraprayag
Drive to Gaurikund via Rudraprayag. And check in Hotel.
Day: 3 - Rudraprayag – Kedarnath Jee
After breakfast drive to Gaurikund , 14kms trek to Kedarnath. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Now you are at your first destination of Panch Kedar Yatra.
Day: 4 - Kedarnath Jee – Guptakashi
After breakfast trek down to Gaurikund. Later on after lunch drive to Guptkashi. Enjoy your Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel.
Day: 5 - Guptakashi – Gaundhar
Here you will have to trek with your packed food and after Dinner and overnight in Camps.
Day: 6 - Gaundhar – Madhmaheshwar
Once again you will have to trek to Madhmaheshwar with your packed food. Later on in the evening have your dinner and stay overnight at camps.
Day: 7 - Madhmaheswar – Gaundhar
Trek back to Gaundhar with packed lunch. Dinner and overnight in Camps.
Day: 8 - Gaundhar – Ukhimath
After breakfast 12kms trek to Jagasu and then 16kms drive to Ukhimath. Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel.
Day: 9 - Ukhimath – Tungnath – Chopta
35 kms drive to Chopta and 4 kms trek to Tungnath. In the afternoon return trek to Chopta. Dinner and overnight in Camps.
Day: 10 - Chopta – Panargupha
After breakfast drive to Sagar (30kms). Then 10kms trek to Panargupha. Dinner and overnight in Camps.
Day: 11 - Panargupha – Rudranath
Trek to Rudranath with packed lunch. Dinner and overnight in Camps.
Day: 12 - Rudranath – Dumuk
Trek to Dumuk with packed lunch. Dinner and overnight in Camps.
Day: 13 - Dumuk – Kalpeshwar Mahadev
14kms trek to Urgam / Kalpeshwar Mahadev with packed lunch. Dinner and overnight in Camps.
Day: 14 - Kalpeshwar Mahadev – Rudraprayag
After early breakfast trek to Helang (9kms) and then drive to Rudraprayag. Check in Hotel.
Day: 15 - Rudraprayag – Rishikesh
Drive to Haridwar via Srinagar, Devprayag and Rishikesh. Check in Hotel.
Day: 16 - Rishikesh – Delhi
After breakfast, drive to Delhi. Drop at Railway Station / Airport.
